Day 6: Wednesday, August 28th

Program: Visit to CheFuKo office, tour of Tokyo (Akihabara, Asakusa, teamLab Planets TOKYO)

The final two days were spent touring the capital of Japan, Tokyo.

We began by visiting CheFuKo’s office and meeting with Senior Advisor Asai. The children told him about their trip to Fukushima.

Next, we took a trip to Akihabara.

After testing out a drone and buying some interesting toys, we went out to eat sushi.

In Asakusa, the children put on yukata and visited Sensoji, a famous temple.

Everyone looked good in their traditional Japanese clothes.

Finally, we stopped by teamLab Planets in Toyosu.

Both the children and adults enjoyed the interactive art exhibits!

Day 7: Wednesday, August 29th

Program: Tour of Tokyo (Ueno Zoo, gift-shopping)

The children were thrilled to see the pandas for the first time!

Although they enjoyed seeing all the animals, they were still exhausted by the Tokyo heat.

After lunch, it was finally time for a shopping spree!

They children bought many gifts for their friends and families at a 100-yen shop.

At last, it was time to say goodbye.

It was thanks to the cooperation from all our supporters that we were able to end the exchange program safely.
