Today we will be reporting on our third round of food distribution activities in Venezuela.
The current COVID-19 pandemic has made it difficult to continue food distribution activities at the hospital.
Therefore, we conducted food distribution for children living in San Diego Municipality, Valencia.
San Diego is a poor neighborhood where children often do not have enough to eat.
Volunteers who live in the neighborhood regularly cook meals for the local children.
This time, we donated 10,000 yen to support these efforts.

The volunteers were able to feed 112 children.
The dish they cooked was arroz chino, a fried rice dish with ham, vegetables, egg, and soy sauce.
This was served with sweet-tasting bread and juice from a tropical fruit called the tamarind.

The COVID-19 virus has made it difficult to buy gasoline in Venezuela.
As a result, it has become even harder to obtain food.
We would like to thank the brave and generous volunteers who helped with this month’s food distribution.
