Sending hand-sewn masks
2020/08/05

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to have a severe impact on countries around the world.

As we outlined in our previous blog posts on “What CheFuKo can do right now” (April 2nd post, April 22nd post), we are currently sending cloth masks to children and staff members at various children’s facilities.

All masks are hand-sewn and sprayed with disinfectant spray before packaging.

In addition to the six facilities in Fukushima where we sent our previous masks, we have now sent an additional 123 cloth masks to two children’s facilities and other groups.
We were overjoyed to receive messages of thanks from the recipients.

As children’s masks can be more difficult to come by than adult masks, we will continue to send masks to individuals and facilities in need of them.
