Venezuela aid activities, November 8th
2020/11/12

Today we are reporting on 8th round of aid activities in Venezuela.

Continuing last month’s activities, on November 8th, we supported volunteers who cooked meals for the children of San Diego Municipality, Valencia. This time the volunteers were able to serve a total of 122 children.

While data trends seem to indicate that coronavirus cases are decreasing in Venezuela, the current political instability suggests that the numbers may actually be higher. A September 20th article in the Japanese newspaper The Nikkei reported that “an investigation of 16 hospitals in the Venezuelan capital city of Caracas revealed that 9 locations lacked masks and protective gloves, while none of the locations had disinfectant or soap”. Considering the widespread unpreparedness in hospitals around the capital and the aforementioned political instability, we believe that the reported number of cases cannot be taken at face value.

This month, the volunteers prepared soup and pasta cooked with tomatoes, onions, and carrots.

The volunteers use their days off from work to feed the hungry children.

We will continue to support aid activities in Venezuela.

At CheFuKo, we have established the “Venezuelan Children’s Fund” to assist vulnerable children, their families, and the organizations that support them.
You can become a donor through our online form, or contact us via phone.

As always, we thank you for your generous contributions!
