Venezuela aid activities, January 31st
2021/02/08

We are happy to be starting off 2021 with some more support activities in Venezuela! This has been our 10th round to date since we began supporting food distribution efforts in 2019.

Continuing last year’s activities, we supported local volunteers to help feed the children living in San Diego Municipality, Valencia. The food distribution took place on January 31st. All together, the volunteers managed to feed 122 children.

This time, the volunteers cooked pabellón criollo, a traditional Venezuelan made with stewed beans, plantains, and shredded beef on top of rice. Because beef is expensive, the volunteers used minced meat instead.

We’ve received a video message from one of the local volunteers!

Here are her words in the video: “I would like to first thank God, then everyone at CheFuKo for providing us with these donations. We were worried about whether we could feed the children, but thanks to all of your help, we have been able to resume our activities.”

The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have continued well into 2021. As you can see in the picture below, many of the children are still wearing masks. We will continue to support the children of Venezuela until there is no more fear of a pandemic and every child has enough to eat.

At CheFuKo, we have established the “Venezuelan Children’s Fund” to assist vulnerable children, their families, and the organizations that support them.
You can become a donor through our online form or contact us via phone.

As always, we thank you for your generous contributions!
