On October 12th, Typhoon Hagibis arrived in Japan, causing widespread destruction and heavy rains across the Kantō, Kōshin’etsu, and Tōhoku regions.
4 CheFuKo staff members departed for Fukushima on the following day. We helped with cleaning out flooded buildings from the 14th-19th.
We began with cleaning away the muddy water, removing damaged electronics, and wiping mud from important documents. Thanks to the help from the volunteers, we were able to complete most of our work, excluding the minor tasks.
