At CheFuKo, we currently support two children’s facilities through our Foster Project. While we typically deliver our donations directly during our April visit, we are sending this year’s donations via electronic payment.
As we reported on in our previous blog post, we sent our donations to the girl’s facility, Rising Lotus Children’s Village, at the end of April.
Now that we are approaching the middle of the year, we have sent a donation of 200,000 yen to Radha Krishna Community Center, the facility for boys.
We would like to express our profound gratitude to all our donors who make our continued support possible.
There are currently 11 children (ranging from elementary school to high school ages) who live at the facility. Nepal entered a national lockdown from March 24th, and while it was temporarily lifted in July, it has since returned as a measure against the second wave of COVID-19. Schools remain closed, and inside of Radha Krishna, the older boys are doing the best to educate the younger boys.
We hope that the COVID-19 pandemic will end soon, and all the children will be able to return to their ordinary lives.
