This is a report of our September activities in Fukusima. The bread in the picture is modeled after Akabeko, a legendary cow from the Aizu region of Japan.
Many areas are still experiencing blackouts from Typhoon Faxai.
When we see disasters on television, it’s easy to see them as something that happens to someone else.
It’s always good to prepare for a disaster so that we don’t regret our choices.
Let’s make sure we have the right supplies and a way to contact our family.
It’s time for us to replace our emergency food stock!
Rice paddies and fruits from the NPO Hanamiyama wo Mamoru Kai (Committee to Protect Hanamiyama)
This time, 6 staff members traveled to Fukushima.
Three new staff members engaged in thermotherapy for the first time.
We received positive feedback that the thermotherapy helped warm the participants’ bodies.
We will continue to do our best to address the individual needs of everyone we work with.
Each year, we lead a Christmas card exchange program between the children of Fukushima, Ukraine, and Nepal.
These cards were made with colored pencils and paint. We’re looking forward to seeing all of them!
